Andy just listened as they continued talking about the baby and
sports. A few minutes later another couple walked in. Apparently they
just rode together. He was introduced again. These two went to the
same college. Both girls. They went to college somewhere near the
beach. Andy laughed to himself. He could tell from the conversations
they were more interested in tanning and joining a sorority than
furthering their educations.
By the time the appetizers arrived, the table was filled with nine
people. Another boy had joined them earlier. He sat at the far end of
the table, so Andy couldn t catch most of his information. He thought
Eric said his name was Chad. He seemed to be the comedian of the
group. He wished he would have sat in the chair across from him.
After the waitress went to get the next round of drinks, Andy
headed to the restroom. He needed a moment of peace. There were so
many conversations going on he couldn t keep up. Most of the group
seemed pretty nice. Eric had tried to pull him into the conversations,

but it was hard to talk about a time he wasn t a part of. He finished up
and headed back out.
He turned the corner just in time to see Eric being engulfed by
another guy. The guy had pulled Eric close to hug him. A bit too close
for his taste. When the guy turned around, Andy caught his breath.
The guy was quite stunning. He had bright blue eyes, blond hair, and
dimples. While he took the seat next to Eric, he removed his coat,
showing a muscular body that Andy could only dream of having.
Just as Andy turned to leave, he heard Eric call his name. He
turned back and looked at Eric.
Andy! Paul is just about to give you your seat back. Eric looked
back at Paul. You are in his seat. The chair across the table is free
though.
Paul looked over at him. Oh. I didn t realize this seat was taken.
He stood up and removed his coat to hang on the other chair. As he
walked around, he bumped up against Andy. He reached over and
caught Andy before he stumbled back, pulling him a bit closer than
needed. Sorry, man.
It s okay. It s nice to meet you. Andy took his seat.
Pleasure to meet you, too, Andy. Paul hung his coat on the back
of the chair. How do you two know each other?
We go to the same college. I met Andy in class. Eric reached
over and squeezed Andy s leg. Since we are dating, I brought him
home with me for the holidays so he could meet my family.
How nice. Paul continued to look at Andy, making him feel a
bit uncomfortable. Andy felt he was being sized up. Eric had been
pulled back into a conversation with Harry. He decided it was either
talk to Paul or sit back and observe.
So, Paul, tell me a bit about you.
Paul stared at him a moment longer. How long have you two
been seeing each other?
We ve been together about a month. Andy glared back at him.

Only one month and he s brought you to meet the family? I think
it s a bit early for that step. You barely know each other. Paul took a
drink.
Perhaps to some people it may seem fast, but we both have
strong feelings for each other. Feelings that we haven t found with
anyone else. Andy leaned forward to be closer to Paul. Feelings we
don t expect to ever find with anyone else.
I see. How nice for both of you to feel that strongly in such a
short period of time. I guess if Eric s happy, that s all that matters at
this point. He winked at Andy.
Andy relaxed a bit. Some of the tension seemed to leave the
space. Where are you going to school?
Paul started telling him about the college up north he was
attending. Apparently he had gotten a football scholarship. He told
Andy all about the classes he was taking and some of the friends he
had made. He was majoring in sports therapy. Andy thought it was
quite fitting. He seemed to really enjoy the classes.
Andy explained some things about himself as well. The more they
talked, the more comfortable they seemed to get with each other.
Before he realized how much time had passed, the bill was being
dropped off at the table. Eric took it, and everyone started handing
over money to cover the bill.
They all started heading out of the restaurant, still talking about
getting together once more before going back to school. Andy decided
to head toward the car while Eric said his good-byes. When he leaned
against the car, he noticed Paul heading his way.
I wanted to tell you again how nice it was to meet you. I can see
why Eric fell for you. You are a smart young man with great
ambitions. You are also smoking hot!
Just then Eric walked up. You re blushing again, babe. Should I
be concerned about something? He raised an eyebrow as he looked
at Andy.

Before he could answer, Paul spoke up. I was just telling Andy
how lucky you are. You found a really good one. I m happy for you,
